The American Bike Challenge, a nationwide cycling event bringing cyclists from across the country together to support 10 partner charities, will begin on September 21st and last through October 5th. The event is hosted on the fitRaise platform which allows participants to cycle anytime, anywhere logging their miles with mobile apps including FitBit and MapMyRide while using the fitRaise website to collect pledges for each mile that they ride during the event. The top 10 college football rivalries have each been randomly assigned one of the 10 partner charity organizations. The winning school in each battle will be determined in a best of three metrics; most participants, most miles completed, and most money raised for the charity organization. Their bragging rights will last all year until next year’s event.
