Gigastrand OS 3.0 Releases Today

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Sept. 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Gigastrand released the 3rd major revision of its operating system this morning. It is the first 64-bit operating system Gigastrand has released. It also includes extras like Steam and other updated software. Available on DVD and USB, Gigastrand is also releasing the download version at the same time for a small $1 fee.

"There were some mixed reactions to charging for a download of the operating system," Gigastrand Founder Josh Tordsen explains, "but it allowed us to release the download at the same time as the other media. We are asking expert PC users to contribute to continued success for the Gigastrand OS, but it is really not a big ask."

There is no word yet on future versions of Gigastrand's operating system but Tordsen explains that many of Gigastrand's goals for its ideal operating system have culminated in this version.

"It is the closest we have ever been to checking all the boxes for our perfect operating system. Dual 32 and 64-bit support, Steam, Crossover, Virtual Box, OpenOffice, Chrome, Firefox, Thunderbird, Gambas, and TeamViewer. We have done some great things before, but we are excited to flex the muscles of this version and really see where we can go from here."
