Art Class Scholarships Now Available

Acclaimed Yard School of Art at the Montclair Art Museum offers free tuition to students with merit and financial need
 
MONTCLAIR, N.J. - Sept. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- The Yard School of Art at the Montclair Art Museum offers programs for adults, children, and teens throughout the year. It was voted #1 in the 2015 Discover Jersey Arts People’s Choice Awards for both Favorite Adult Art Class and Favorite Art Camp. Classes are offered in four semesters including an eight-week summer program and cover a variety of traditional and contemporary media, from painting to printmaking and sculpture to digital art. The Museum also offers classes in its Digital Media Lab and Ceramics Studio.

The Nathaniel C. Harris, Jr. Yard School of Art Scholarship is offered through the Montclair Art Museum for children grades K–12. The program is dedicated to promoting diversity, and offers motivated students free tuition for one studio course during the school year, as well as exposure to arts professions. Decisions based on merit and financial need in an effort to provide equal access to investigation of career opportunities in the arts.

Fall 2015 scholarship deadline is September 18. Yard School of Art fall classes begin September 21.
