Nissan of Keene NH to host Heisman Trophy Tour Sept 20-21

KEENE, N.H. - Sept. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Nissan of Keene in Swanzey, NH will host the 2015 Nissan Heisman Trophy Tour this Sunday from 11-4 and Monday from 8-3.

The Heisman Trophy, awarded to the National College Football Player of the Year, will be on display in the Nissan showroom, located at 544 Monadnock Highway, in Swanzey, NH on Sunday from 11-4 and Monday from 8-3. Visitors will be allowed to take pictures and hold the trophy.

The Heisman Memorial Trophy Award (usually known colloquially as the Heisman Trophy or The Heisman), is awarded annually to the most outstanding player in college football in the United States whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work. It is presented by the Heisman Trophy Trust in early December before the post season bowl games.

The award was created in 1935 for the "most valuable football player in the East" by the Downtown Athletic Club. After the death of the Club's athletic director, John Heisman, the award was named in his honor and broadened to include players west of the Mississippi.
