Emergency Safety Mockdrill in Vedanta’s Thermal Power Plant

THOOTHUKKUDI, India - Sept. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Emergency Safety Mockdrill was organised in Vedanta’s Thermal Power Plant, Thoothukudi on 22.09. 2015.

Mr Kumaravendhan, Head - Health Safety Environment has given a brief note to the authorities on emergency preparedness and safety precautions in the factory premises. Emergency Preparedness and Response Team conducted emergency safety mockdrill and showcased action procedure during emergency period (fire, natural calamities, etc.) in the factory premises, under the direction of Mr Srinivasan, Additional Director of Industrial Safety and Health, Madurai Region and Mr Appavu Samraj, Joint Director of Industrial Safety and Health, Thoothukudi in the presence of Mr S Anandakumar, Factory Manager, Vedanta’s Thermal Power Plant.

The safety officers from IOCL Terminal, BPCL, DCW and SPIC participated as special observers of emergency safety mockdrill. Mr P Subbiah - Head Environment, Dr Senthil - Factory Medical Officer and Mr M Kandasamy, Factory Safety Officer were also present during the mockdrill.
