PRLog -- Have you ever gotten a mug, and it was full of chocolate and bells and probably a small ceramic pig wearing a shirt that says “keep calm and bacon on”; but then the mug was wrapped in this clear, crinkly cellophane? You probably thought to yourself, dude, I could make some money off of this. You thought, I could start an Etsy shop and call it Mean Muggin’; no wait, A Cup of Good Cheer; no wait, Sippin’ on Somethin’ Cute! If only I knew what this amazing plastic was called, because otherwise it’s just a lame mug full of junk and not a custom-made cocktail of creativity. Well, lucky for you, the stretch film manufacturers were willing to give you the secret, and they told you that the plastic was called gift basket film. That’s right. Gift basket film. Gift basket film! GIFT… You could probably hear me better if you took your ear buds out. Yeah, gift basket film. Now you can open the Etsy shop. You might want to take some time on thinking up a name, though. Just a thought…
The stretch film manufacturers at PackagingSupplies.com actually
want you to succeed at your small business, or at least at the not-so-small business of making people happy. They understand that this is usually accomplished by gifts! And that’s not a bad thing; a gift is an expression of consideration. It is a gesture extended to someone you care about, specifically in order to let them know you care about them. The gift basket film is just taking it one step further.
If you don’t own a small business, or if you just plain don’t care about making people happy or expressing feelings of adoration that you clearly don’t possess, you may be interested in poly tubing or poly sheeting. Not to worry, the stretch film manufacturers (
http://therealproductreviews.com/stretch-film-manufacture...) haven’t forgotten about you. The poly tubing is an amazing alternative to plastic bags. It is basically what it sounds like: a roll of plastic that comes in a tube, and you can pull out however long you may need (like I’m talking 12 feet for that rug you don’t want to get nasty in the garage, or even just a couple feet for winter boots). You use the heat sealer accessory to seal and cut one end, and then stuff the newly created bag. If you are dealing with electronics, there is anti-static poly tubing. (Don’t forget the dispenser!) The poly sheeting is more than likely what Dexter used to accommodate his serial killing. What I mean by that is that this is some really heavy duty plastic. It comes in a roll, clear or black. Consider using this the next time you need a drop cloth for painting, or as a weed guard when laying out your flower beds.
