Over the past several years, The National Coalition has broken new ground to empower Black women and girls, youth and working families with tools to live their best lives through our Black Women's Roundtable, Black Youth Vote, Unity Diaspora Coalition, Gathering of Black Men & Boys Initiatives; Held annually for the past 17 years, the Spirit of Democracy Awards Celebration recognizes civic, business and labor leaders, public officials, as well as media, youth and community advocates who support and encourage, active civic engagement and public service. The Black Women's Roundtable (BWR) serves as the women and girls empowerment arm of The National Coalition. (BYV) is the youth and young adult civic leadership and organizing training arm of The National Coalition.
