Penzance Poet Lands International Book Deal

RALEIGH, N.C. - Oct. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- CORNWALL, UK - Chapel Street resident and poet Owain Glyn is set to celebrate the release of his first poetry book, Windswept, tomorrow (Thursday 8 October).

The Welsh-born writer grabbed the attention of the Outer Banks Publishing Group after his poems were read by more than 2.5million people on WattPad, the world’s largest online community for readers and writers. Glyn’s work also regularly tops the website’s ‘most read’ chart and consistently receives rave reviews.

Owain’s Windswept collection comprises of 107 heart-felt poems that explore the themes of love and romance, which he penned after retiring to Cornwall in 2010.

Owain says: “During my university days I dabbled in writing poetry, but it was really retiring to Cornwall that motivated me to take it more seriously. The area is such an inspiration to me and, in particular, Merlin’s Rock near Mousehole and St Michael Mount are real favourites. I feel very privileged to live here.

“My Windswept collection is made up of poems that have romance at their core, but are very straight talking – ultimately they are love poems for non-poets.”
