The book takes the reader from a Rockaway Peninsula hospital in disaster-mode to glittering Manhattan, from decimated neighborhoods in New York to earthquake-ravaged Mexico City. “Finding Maslow” is a story about lost individuals, struggling to find hope, love, and meaning in the midst of tragedy. About the Author: Susan Lee Walberg was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from the University of Washington, a Master’s in Public Administration from Seattle University, and a Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law. She worked as a health care attorney in Seattle before moving to Maryland in 2007. Ms. Walberg now lives in Laurel, Maryland, and works as a healthcare consultant. One of her jobs as a consultant led her to work for over a year at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York, which was the inspiration for “Finding Maslow”. Ms. Walberg’s job at that hospital was completed just days before Hurricane Sandy hit the area where she had lived and worked.
