Kalker Podiatry and Staff Host Annual Sock Drive in Newtown, PA

Newtown podiatrist Dr. Lawrence Kalker and staff members Linda, Debbie and Susan are again partnering with Valley Youth House in Warminster for our 3rd Annual Holiday Sock Drive to benefit the shelter.

The Sock Drive will take place beginning this fall through January 1st 2016. Kalker Podiatry is reaching out to their patients as well as the community at large again this year to donate new pairs of socks to this very worthy organization.  In the last two years, the Sock Drive has been a huge success collecting more than 1,400 pairs of socks as well as over $1,800 in monetary donations.

Socks may be dropped off at Kalker Podiatry, 6 South Sycamore Street, Newtown. To make a monetary donation, please make checks payable to Valley Youth House (please designate Warminster/Bucks Shelter on the check). Monetary donations may be mailed directly to Valley Youth House, 800 N. York Rd., Bldg. 22, Warminster, PA 18974.

Valley Youth House Shelter in Warminster is a 13-bed facility for runaway, homeless, troubled, abused and neglected boys and girls ages 17 and under. The shelter is a safe haven for young people with the ultimate goal of having them rejoin their families. Founded in 1973, Valley Youth House provides a first line defense for troubled young people and their families. Protection from abuse, neglect and family disintegration is achieved through a strategy involving prevention, crisis intervention, and long term help.
