Kerwin Thompson Shines In Gritty Relationship Drama

ATLANTA - Oct. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Brothers of Affliction is the story of three brothers and the deep secrets that bond them together and the ones that tear them apart. The intriguing story delves into the troubled lives of the Owens brothers as they struggle to make peace despite their many afflictions. Written by Paris Crayton III, the play features strong, in-your-face language, many tense and violent moments, and most importantly, a bevy of powerfully honest, emotional confrontations. Thompson stars as Chris, the eldest of the three brothers, who drinks to excess in order to deal with the horrors of his painful childhood.

Kerwin Thompson is a multi-faceted performer who has quickly become an Atlanta favorite in its thriving, theatre community. He is driven to use his talent not just to entertain but to touch the souls of audience members. Thompson was trained by the Freddie Hendricks Youth Ensemble of Atlanta (YEA) and the Alliance Theater.  He has recently been featured in Mama Bear by Sharon Harris Warrick, Colored Lodging by Bill Harris (Atlanta Black Theatre Festival), The Passing of Fatha Thyme by Roz Ayres-Williams (Atlanta Black Theatre Festival), A Piece of My Mind! by Ron McIntyre, and On a Clear Day At the Carwash by Mia Kristin Smith (Ft. Wayne, IN Fringe Festival).
