The Central Stage presents Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s WILD Christmas Binge Nov 5-7

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Oct. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Fresh off their award-winning production of Pippin, The Central Stage is proud to present Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s WILD Christmas Binge, a hilarious musical farce that skewers such classics as  A Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist, and even It's a Wonderful Life.  Performances will be held Thursday through Saturday, November 5-7 at 7pm at the James B. White Performing Arts Theater.

Christopher Durang’s hilarious play presents an alternative view of Dicken’s classic tale with more than a few twists: Mrs. Cratchit is no longer the perfect Victorian wife, but has been replaced by a modern, stressed-out American woman who hates her life, and the Ghost’s magic isn’t quite working correctly.  This leads to a romp through various Christmas classics, poking fun of them along the way and having a great time doing it.

“This is a great way to kick-off the Holiday season, especially if you’re not up for yet another rendition of A Christmas Carol or The Nutcracker,” explains Wesley Egerter, President of The Central Stage.  “It’s irreverent, light, and fun and there really isn’t a better value for an evening of great live theater.”

The James B. White Performing Arts Theater is a beautiful facility located on the Clearwater Central Catholic H.S. campus with premium seating, no obstructed-view seats and full accessibility.  Groups with buses or other transportation or mobility concerns are welcome and should contact The Central Stage early to coordinate.
