Royal Docks Brewing Company Helps Local People in Need Stay Warm with One Warm Coat®

From November 1^st, 2015 to December 24^th, 2015, Royal Docks Brewing Company will be collecting unused and clean, gently used coats to benefit One Warm Coat’s “Coast to Coast Challenge”.

Health experts report that even a 2-degree drop in body temperature results in reduced heart rate, loss of coordination, and confusion. Adults cannot work effectively and children find it difficult to learn. For most, a warm coat solves the problem, but, for the nearly 15% of Americans living in poverty, a warm winter coat is a budget extra they cannot afford.

All coats collected by Royal Docks Brewing Company will be given to a local agency for distribution to local children and adults in need. “We want to help in any way we can and found One Warm Coat^® a unique opportunity that many may not know much about.  In addition to helping those in need of warm coats this winter, we also challenged ourselves to help an organization that is doing great things but may not be well known.  We hope to provide help and also awareness to this great organization and cause.” commented Adriana Bikis, Owner of Royal Docks Brewing Company.

One Warm Coat is a national non-profit organization that works to provide a free, warm coat to any person in need and raises awareness of the vital need for warm coats.  One Warm Coat supportsindividuals, groups, companies and organizations across the country by providing the tools and resources needed to hold a successful coat drive.  Coats are distributed in the communities where they are collected, to any person in need, without charge, discrimination or obligation. Since their inception in 1992, they have worked with volunteers to give away over 4 million coats.
