Felder & Associates Celebrates Third Business Anniversary

Nov. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- (SAVANNAH, GA) Felder & Associates is pleased to announce the Savannah architecture and interior design firm is celebrating its third anniversary of “breathing new life into old buildings.” Felder & Associates specializes in architectural design, historic preservation, project management, construction administration and interior design.

“I started the firm in November 2012 with four employees,” said Brian Felder, managing principal of Felder & Associates. “Since that time we have worked on an array of projects, including commercial, corporate and medical facilities, churches, banks and high-end residential designs.”

Felder & Associates was recognized with three prestigious awards in 2015 for its rehabilitation project of the historic Greyhound Bus Depot, now a new restaurant, The Grey. These awards included: 2015 Preservation Award from the Historic Savannah Foundation (HSF); the Georgia Association of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) 2015 Design Award in Renovation; and a special judges’ award from Hospitality Design (HD) magazine.

Other recent projects include the design of the new Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Vidalia, a design update of the historic Levy residence on Tybee Island, and a restoration and an adaptive reuse project at the United Community Bank in downtown Savannah.

“We are committed to remaining a small firm, focusing on five or six projects at any given time instead of 20,” explained Felder. “This smaller scope also lets our team members spend more creative collaboration time on design and construction aspects.”

The Virginia Beach, Va., native graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Architecture. He and his wife, Denise, have three children and live in Savannah. Felder serves on the HSF Board of Trustees and as chair of the Architectural Review Committee, which provides input to the Historic District Board of Review.
