Detroit Unity Temple Welcomes Mosaic Youth Theatre Group of Detroit in The Tempest

DETROIT - Nov. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Detroit Unity Temple welcomes internationally acclaimed Mosaic Youth Theater Group of Detroit in their musical version of the classic play the Tempest.

Marooned and left to die on a remote island, Prospero can command spirits, cr elements. Using his magic to create a tempest, he assembles his enemies to take revenge on them, and in the process awakens in Miranda, his teenage daughter, her first experience of love. Mosaic presents a thrilling new musical version of this Shakespeare classic, originally produced by The Public Theatre in New York. The New York Times called the original production “Stirring, delightful…entirely delicious” and Mosaic has been chosen as the first company to present the show outside of New York.  Mosaic’s dynamic young artists will lend their beautiful harmonies, powerful acting and infectious energy to this new adaptation by Lear deBessonet with original music by Todd Almond.
