Christi Hubler Chevrolet Hosts Indiana's Own Bobby Plump

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - Nov. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Christi Hubler Chevrolet of Crawfordsville is proud to announce that world-famous Hoosier and Milan High School basketball star Bobby Plump will be on-site for their shooting contest, giving away tickets for a professional Indiana basketball team. Plump will be available for autographs and to reminisce about the event that became known as The Milan Miracle on November 21, starting at 11:00 AM.

Plump is more than just the inspiration for Jimmy Chitwood in Hoosiers, however. In addition to sinking the game-winning point that crowned their team State Champions, Plump knew Chris Volz, the grandfather of Christi Hubler and former owner of Chris Volz Motors (now Christi Hubler Chevrolet).

Chris Volz Motors provided the basketball team with brand new 1954 Cadillacs to cruise to Indianapolis in on their way to the championship nobody thought they would win, and they rode them back to Milan in style, trophy in the back seat. When Hubler asked Plump if he would like to chat with her grandfather and reminisce over the good old days of Indiana basketball, he leapt at the chance.

“We are honored to have Bobby Plump join us to sign autographs as we reminisce about all of his significant accomplishments for Indiana basketball,” said Hubler. “The movie Hoosiers represents so many things to so many people. For me, it’s the story of where I came from and part of how my parents met. It is a reminder of my husband and I having a mutual love for a tiny town. A tiny town that made a huge impact then and now, by bringing us together. For me as an entrepreneur, it is a constant reminder that the little gestures can go a long way!”

Hubler and her husband will be attending the Crawfordsville and Milan Pacers games, but the remaining tickets will be up for grabs on November 21^st.
