Silko Honda goes Pink in October, and all year long! Raises over $1,000 for Breast Cancer

RAYNHAM, Mass. - Nov. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- This October, Silko Honda put pink to a purpose by fund raising for the Making Strides to Support Breast Cancer walk to support Breast Cancer research through the American Cancer Society. The staff at Silko strapped on their sneakers, and the showroom turned pink as the fund raising efforts hit full stride. Donations were generated in 3 ways: a portion of the sale of every vehicle went towards Making Strides, customers purchased pink bracelets, and customers made online donations from their website. In total, Silko Honda raised $1,123 for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Providence, RI walk.

But it doesn’t stop there … Geoff Ewell, Director of Operations says, “Breast Cancer is something that has affected every one of us at Silko Honda. There is so much emphasis put on it in October, and we wanted to be a part of the massive fund raising efforts in that month. But, we want to extend that through the rest of the year as well, why not?” Silko Honda has decided to extend the fund raising efforts by continuously donating a portion of proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation all year long. “We anticipate being able to donate close to $1,000 a month to this cause, through vehicle sales,” says Ewell.

Silko Honda will do this through their SilkoCares program, a special program at the dealership that provides community and customer support. “We are always looking for reasons that make the customer want to 'Go Silko' when they are in the market for a new or used vehicle. Now, their purchase from Silko will support Breast Cancer Research all year long, and we think that’s a very good reason to Go Silko!”
