RSM Raises More Than $1.2 Million for Children and Families

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. - Nov. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- RSM US LLP (RSM)– the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, and title sponsor of The RSM Classic – is excited to announce that its employees, clients and friends, along with the RSM US Foundation, raised more than $1.2 million for children- and family-focused charitable organizations through The RSM Classic’s 2015 Birdies Fore Love (http://rsmus.com/who-we-are/corporate-responsibility/birdies-fore-love-program.html) program.

RSM partners with the Dave Love Foundation, the host organization of The RSM Classic (http://www.rsmclassic.com), A PGA TOUR event, to raise funds that assist children and their families. Over the past three years, RSM has raised millions to help charitable organizations aross the country where its employees live and work.

“Through Birdies Fore Love, our employees select local charities that support youth in the areas of education, hunger, housing and health,” said Doug Opheim, chief financial officer for RSM US LLP and chairman of the RSM US Foundation. “This year, our employees, clients and friends raised $702,854, and the RSM US Foundation contributed an additional $500,000 through a challenge grant, bringing the grand total raised by RSM this year to more than $1.2 million and our three-year total to more than $2.1 million. We are proud of what we have been able to give back to the Golden Isles and local communities across the country where our employees live and work.”

Charitable contributions raised by RSM will be combined with those raised through the tournament, and the grand total from the 2016 RSM Classic will be announced in early 2016.
