New Children’s Book Explains Disability from the Perspective of a Service Dog

GREEN BAY, Wis. - Nov. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Green Bay, Wisconsin, resident Chris Engstrom has released an illustrated children’s book geared toward helping children and adults understand the relationship people with disabilities have with their service dogs.

Engstrom, who lives independently with cerebral palsy, wrote “Original Orik and His Important Job” from the perspective of her faithful service dog, Orik  The book’s publisher is M&B Global Solutions Inc. of Green Bay.

Orik likes to run, bark and play like most other dogs. But Orik also is a trained service dog who takes his job very seriously. In the story, Orik helps his person, Christy, accomplish many things that come up during her day.

Christy and Orik demonstrate what teamwork is all about, even when Orik gets into mischief. Their story is a heartwarming display of loyalty, determination and forgiveness.
