Spark Design & Architecture 9th Annual Awards - Global Competition Winners Announced

NEW YORK - Nov. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- "The work is outstanding, the innovation is breath-taking and the number of participating firms is up," according to Spark Director, Peter Kuchnicki. "Yes - it has been a very good year to Spark!"

"With over 160 winning designs, we can't illustrate them all in this news release," Kuchnicki stated. "However, they are on view at our website in the Spark Galleries. The winners will also be exhibited at the Autodesk Design Gallery in San Francisco. We applaud the discipline, creativity and difficult choices that went into this work. Bravo - entrants, finalists, winners and jurors of the 2015 Spark Design Awards!"

The winners, design data, videos and photos of the winning designs are available at the Spark Awards website. Each design category had unique juries, including Products, Health, Spaces, Transport, Experience, Communication, Digital, WEAR, Cause and Concept Design.

Jurors worked with a variety of media, including display boards, models, prototypes, imagery, storyboards, videos and physical designs. Each jury intensely reviewed the entrants in their category - and then reported back to a mega-multidisciplinary jury, composed of all jurors. The debates went into the night and stretched over two days. "It was intense," commented the Product Jury Chair, Peter Cooper of Sunbeam Australia. "And we had a rich selection of designs to pick over. Great experience!"

The competition featured many pieces that reflect Spark's mission to emphasize "good design" - works that contribute directly to building a better place to live.
