By: Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort Starting this season, Lee Canyon will be managing the operation of the McWilliams campsite, Foxtail Snowplay and the Old Mill Picnic areas. In addition, Lee Canyon continues with its $35 million master development plan that to date has included two new quad chair lifts and a snow tubing area to the resort. The plan is part of Lee Canyon’s broader vision to create a year-round resort and will expand the number of trails to 50 and lifts to 10 over the next 10 years. “Our goal has always been to offer our guests a high quality winter recreation experience and with the addition of the McWilliams, Foxtail and Old Mill recreation and snow play areas, we are able to ensure there is something for everybody to enjoy on the mountain,” said Kevin Stickelman, Lee Canyon’s president and general manager. “As an El Niño year, weather predictions look to offer our community and its guests an extraordinary snow play season.” Weather permitting, Lee Canyon’s winter season is expected to run through Sunday, April 4, 2016.
