Minority-Owned Cleaning Company Ranked Among Philly’s Fastest Growing for 2nd Straight Year

PHILADELPHIA - Nov. 24, 2015 - PRLog -- For the second consecutive year, Jidan Cleaning, a commercial cleaning company, has been ranked among the Philadelphia 100, a list of the 100 fastest growing, privately held companies in the greater Philadelphia region.  The awards are bestowed by The Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia, The Philadelphia Business Journal and the Wharton Small Business Development Center.

Started in 1988, the Philadelphia 100 has cited some of the region's finest companies when they were just beginning to emerge: Mothers' Work, Fiberlink, Urban Outfitters, Forman Mills, Kremer Laser Eye Center, and Primavera Systems, among others.

Jidan Cleaning ranked 19^th on the list, up from No. 30 in 2014.  It experienced three consecutive years of significant growth, including 215.63 percent growth from 2014 to 2015.   All the honorees were feted Oct. 15, 2015, at The Annenberg Center in Philadelphia.

“We’re fortunate to be in a geographic area that is exceptionally friendly to small businesses, with a lot of support and resources available for entrepreneurs,” said Patricia Claybrook, Jidan Cleaning’s founder and president.  “Our fantastic growth has capitalized on that, but it certainly didn’t happen overnight.  I have my hardworking employees to thank for that.”

Also this month, Claybrook received the Sydney Bridgett Award from her alma mater, Franklin & Marshall College.  The award recognizes the contributions of African-American alumni for outstanding achievement in their chosen profession or endeavor, while honoring Bridgett, who was a charter member of African-American Alumni Council.  Claybrook, who graduated in the Class of 1984, was one of five 2015 recipients of the award.
