Follow on Google News | HURRAH! GBPensions’ and BlackCat Consulting’s Friday the 13th quiz night raises more than $3,000By: GBPensions In keeping with the traditions of Friday the 13th, the quiz questions were a celebration of the unlucky, the failures, the cheats, the just plain weird and, of course, the Friday the 13th movie franchise. Some of the teams even dressed as horror icons in honour of the occasion. GBPensions’ director Tony Chamberlain is a dog lover himself, and wanted the evening to raise awareness of HURRAH’s work around Auckland. “They’re a small charity, but they make a real difference. We also support them through GBPensions’ referral programme; we’ll donate $100 on a client’s behalf whenever they refer a new client to us.” Some of the money has already been put to good use! Wolfie, a rescued Samoyed required urgent eye surgery, as well as x-rays and medication for a long-term health condition. HURRAH founder Chrissy Clements is pleased to report that his surgery went well, he’s happy and his stitches are due out any day now. GBPensions and BlackCat Consulting gratefully acknowledge the invaluable support of the following organisations and individuals who donated raffle prizes and auction items: Al Brown & Company Annabel’s Closet ANZ Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra Olivia Matthews, Azure Concepts Hayley Sadler, Beauty First Browns Bay Howard Finn, Breathe Life Insurance East Coast Bays Veterinary Clinic Sarah Bruce, Edible Blooms Christine Smith, GoMoreRaw /World Organic Hype Hair Spa Albany Stephanie Mount, North Shore Massage Therapy Liquorland Northcross Lindsey Carroll, Outbox Ltd David Kitch, The Pet Store, Millwater Parkway ReefSports Jacqui Matthews-Harris, Retail by Design Sean Brandon, Roof Design & Management Steel & Tube Urban Dogs Dog Day Care & Wellness Centre, Rosedale Vision Personal Fitness Takapuna Vivo Hair & Beauty ... press information ends ...
