Top TV theme composer creates the perfect Christmas Song – Winter’s Come

Nov. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Sharing a love for music from the bygone ages, Flenley and Wilson set out to create a winter-themed song with just a hint of Christmas about it. Here is a song with a timeless quality; it could perhaps have been written back in the days of Irving Berlin and Cole Porter. As well as composing the song, the music was performed and produced by the duo. It is no surprise when looking at their combined CV of classical composition, jazz performance, folk, production music credits, and several incidental scores for theatre productions. Wilson has also had his work synced to many television productions across the world. Credits include: BBC Horizon, BBC Natural World, Top Gear, Sky Box Office, Ghost Whisperer, America's Most Wanted.

‘‘Winter’s Come’ is a warm festive tune sure to get people in the Christmas spirit - it has already reached the semi final of the UK Songwriting Contest; the winners of which will be announced in coming weeks. The track ticks every box of a Christmas classic, trademark chimes and bells, smooth piano keys and delicate vocals from the very talented Flenley.

Anglo-French Flenley has co-written and performed on songs published by Universal, Boost Music and most recently Spear Music as well as her own solo material. Flenley’s talents extend into theatre too, having co-written and performed on productions by Empath Eyes and Baraka theatre companies in London and Paris.

Wilson cut his teeth as a jazz pianist in piano bars in his home town, Glasgow, before moving to London to pursue a career as a composer. His music has been heard all over the world at concert halls, the theatre, and on film, radio and television. In addition to this, he continues to play the piano professionally, frequently performing with Cathal Smyth, aka Chas Smash from Madness.

‘Winter’s come’ brings Wilson back to his jazz roots whilst giving him an opportunity to collaborate with Flenley’s unique songwriting and sound.
