Business is Booming in Detroit and Entrepreneurship is on the Rise

DETROIT - Nov. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Business is booming in Detroit, and lenders such as Huntington Bank, Chase Bank, Detroit Development Fund and the Michigan Women’s Foundation are in the game.  With over 10 million dollars dedicated to minority business owners, the opportunity to start a business has never been better. LifeLine Business Consulting, a part of the Detroit Microloan Collaborative also known as the “quarterback” to funding provides entrepreneur classes and coaching with a heavy emphasis on business plan writing to help entrepreneurs receive funding for their businesses.

Celebrating its 5th year anniversary, LifeLine this year alone has helped 25 entrepreneurs secure funding for their businesses equating to more than 1.1 million dollars. “People have some great ideas; they have the guts to pursue their dreams, and we teach them the components of creating a business plan that piques the interest of the funders,” says Dr. Nicole Farmer, founder and CEO of LifeLine Business Consulting. LifeLine doesn’t just teach entrepreneurs about the components of the business plan; they also assist with setting up pitch meetings with funders, and accompanying the entrepreneurs to the meetings.

The “Jump-Start Your Business to Absolute Success,” runs for 15 weeks, meets once per week with options for morning or evening classes. The 15-week curriculum touches on all areas of business ownership, and participants graduate the class with a completed business plan. Those who are ready to jumpstart their business are connected with funders for a pitch session for possible funding.

The fee for the 15-week course is $100.00.
