Celebrating 100 Issues: Eye Spy Intelligence Magazine15 Year retrospective. Expanded special collector's edition on newsstands 17 December
Eye Spy looks back at over 15 years of remarkable people and extraordinary events that have shaped history in the turbulent world we now live in. In the spring of 2001, Eye Spy Intelligence Magazine launched amid a flurry of promotion and great expectations. Little did anyone know that that in less than four months, the world would be changed forever by a terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in New York. Since that time, in addition to the public's long standing appreciation of all things 'espionage', the desire to understand newly changing complex world issues and to stay informed has brought Eye Spy to its 100th issue. To mark what can only be considered an unlikely anniversary amidst many publications closing their doors, Eye Spy has assembled rich archival excerpts of some of the best that was thought and said in the pages—much of it inspiring and eerily prescient, some of it shocking. In 2001, Eye Spy was one of the first to report on the little-known Osama bin-Laden and the developing fight against al Qaida. In addition to regular content, this anniversary issue includes a record of that conflict, the changing intelligence world and a de-mystified history of espionage and the covert world. Mark Birdsall, Managing Editor, said, “With so many print publications closing their doors, we are thankful - and happy to provide a service to help educate people about the sometimes frightening and confusing world we live in. Many thanks to our loyal readers in 36 countries and with their help, we’ll be fighting for another 15 years and beyond.” About Eye Spy Intelligence Magazine: Eye Spy Intelligence Magazine is the world’s only independent publication dedicated to espionage and intelligence. Available in print and digital editions. End
