DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - Dec. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative Postpones Lighting of World-Famous 100-Foot Christmas Tree to Thursday, December 10, at 7 pm

(Delray Beach, FL – December 2, 2015)  Due to concerns about inclement weather,  the Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative is postponing the public lighting of the world famous 100-Foot Christmas Tree until Thursday, December 10, at 7 pm. It was originally scheduled to happen December 3

“Many of our citizens have been yearning for the old Village by the Sea vibe, so we deliberately scaled down the event’s footprint and planned a variety of traditional family activities, but it won’t be fun for anyone if the weather is as bad as predicted,” explains Stephanie Immelman, Executive Director of the Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative. “But kids won’t have to wait a week to see Santa. Starting on Friday, December 5, families can still visit with Santa Claus in his Key West-style house and go inside the adjacent 100-Foot Christmas Tree."

“We’re just moving our big holiday party from this week to next Thursday, where we will still offer great music, kid’s activities, performances by local schools and so much more," she adds. “Our message to the community is still 'Home for the Holidays,’ so we want to focus on what the season is really all about — such as being with family and helping those in need.”
