American Standard Roofing Volunteers With Special Needs Children

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Dec. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- As American Standard Roofing continues to offer the best service for the value in the Metro Detroit area, it has been actively involved in local community building, outreach and development as well. Recently, owner Arnie Goodman explained the reason behind this volunteer work and how it is an integral part of American Standard Roofing's core philosophy.

“American Standard Roofing knows that there are more than 19 million children in the U.S. with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and other special or exceptional needs, and this number is continuing to grow,” Arnie Goodman stated. “According to a recent CDC report, one in every 68 children has an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which is a 30 percent increase from last year. We need to help and get involved in any way we can,” he added.

“Our business is not just about providing quality roofing, sidings and gutters services. We care about the community and are keen to give back. Working with kids, teaching them, coaching sports, and above all, making a difference in the child's life is what American Standard Roofing's business philosophy is all about. From a personal perspective, I get to make an impact on the community by volunteering, coaching and coordinating events. Arnie Goodman has been actively involved with Lakes Area Youth Soccer League, local to Michigan for almost a decade. The program, called TOPS, is a program geared towards children with special needs. It teaches the game to children with special needs in a caring coaching environment. Every Sunday, weather permitting, Arnie Goodman of American Standard Roofing and a group of other volunteers gather at Drake Sports Park in West Bloomfield, MI and try to make a difference in every child's life, one kick at a time. “We play soccer, and just have fun!” said Goodman.
