BLACKSTAR^tm CTCP420 - new high-performance grade

CERATIZIT has now introduced the high-performance CVD grade BLACKSTAR^tm CTCP420 for the peripheral cutting edge as an additional option to the standard PVD grade SILVERSTAR^tm CTPP430.

BLACKSTAR^tm CTCP420 – product features:

-       Thanks to TiCN/Al2O3 coatings even greater wear resistance

-       Particularly suitable for machining steel and cast iron materials due to its excellent coating characteristics at high cutting speeds

-       The advantages of both coating types are concentrated in one tool by combining the central cutting edge of the SILVERSTAR^tm CTPP430 with the peripheral cutting edge of the BLACKSTAR^tm CTCP420: increase in cutting speed by up to 30 per cent as well as longer tool life
