GATES Construction Completes New Silverspot Cinema

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Dec. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- GATES Construction has completed a new upscale theater for Silverspot Cinema  at the University Mall in Chapel Hill, NC.  The 67,000 square foot theater features 13 screens, approximately 1,500 lush leather seats, restaurant and lounge with a full bar.  Located in the space previously occupied by Dillard’s, the project included raising the roof to accommodate an entirely new interior structure to meet the clearance requirements for the theater’s advanced projection screens.  Lavishly comfortable seating, a restaurant and bar, and “old Hollywood” design elements, including a red carpeted entry, make for a first class dinner and a movie experience.  Architectural design was provided by Kansas City, MO based iConArchitecture + Fabrication.  The theater, which opened to rave reviews, is the 3rd Silverspot location in the United States thus far.  Other locations are in Naples, FL and Coconut Creek, Florida.
