Drilling mud shale shaker

Drilling mud shale shaker is the first stage equipment used to remove solids from drilling mud, and it is necessary equipment in the whole drilling. The process capability of shale shaker depend on used screens. And the treating capacity is related with screen specifications. The large mesh, the smaller treating capacity, the smaller mesh, the smaller and more solids will be removed.

Vacuum degasser

vacuum degasser is used to remove invaded gas from drilling mud, its treating capacity should reach to full flow processing. Vacuum degasser should be placed after shale shaker and before sand pump to process drilling mud. Since when the drilling mud contains gas, the pump will occur pump cavitation, it not only makes the performance decline, produce noise and vibration, shorten the life, seriously make pump can’t work normally or damage.

Two functions of vacuum degasser

1. To gurantee stability of drilling fluids performance. To prevent blowout, blowout accident, to ensure the safety of drilling.

2. To guarantee vacuum degasser work normally. Vacuum degasser must be used and equipped in drill deep wells, gas wells and gas wells.

Desilter and desander

Desilter and desander is composed of a group of hydrocyclone and a fine mesh shale shaker. Desander as the second stage solid control equipment used after drilling fluids shale shaker to remove 44~74μm solids from drilling fluids. And desilter mud remover as the third stage solid control equipment used to remove the 15~44μm solids from drilling fluids.

Drilling mud centrifuge

As the last solids control equipment, it is mainly used to remove 2~10μm solids from drilling fluids. Drilling fluid centrifuge is used for recovery of weighted drilling fluid in barite, and the liquid is from desilter cyclone underflow. Drilling mud centrifuge is also used to remove the solids in the un-weighted drilling fluid, and the processing liquid is from overflow of the mud cyclone.

The drilling fluid centrifuge is mainly used in the drilling of deep and ultra deep wells, choosing a suitable feed pump matched with centrifuge is very important.
