ICEA Retains IMI Association Executives for Full-service Association Management

MORRISVILLE, N.C. - Dec. 22, 2015 - PRLog -- The International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) Board of Directors announced recently they have retained IMI Association Executives Inc. for full-service association management.

This announcement comes as a result of a nation-wide search for an association management company (AMC) to handle ICEA’s day-to-day operational activities and conference management.

“ICEA is pleased to begin the relationship with IMI Association Executives. As our organization grows, we needed a company who would provide us with a broad range of services as tools to grow. The opportunities before us in this new year are many. Together with IMI Association Executives, ICEA will be able to maintain the high standard of excellence in maternity care education,” said ICEA President Connie Livingston, RN, BS, FACCE, LCCE, ICCE.

The association’s headquarters have relocated to IMI Association Executives’ office suites at 2501 Aerial Center Parkway, Suite 103, in Morrisville, N.C.

“ICEA has been working hard to bring all our programs and certifications into the 21st century with the most current evidence based information and references,” said ICEA President-Elect Debra Tolson, RN, BSN, ICCE, IBCLC, CPST. “As we move forward, we needed a management company that could keep up with us; not only now, but also into the future! IMI Association Executives is able to fill this need for ICEA and we are excited at the opportunities this collaboration holds.”

IMI will act as ICEA’s board and committee liaison, while also providing all general administration services, financial management, communications support and membership services.

Jessica Lytle, a 15-year veteran of the association industry, will serve as ICEA’s executive director. “In my role as Executive Director, it will be my pleasure to work with the ICEA Board of Directors, and our dedicated staff to achieve the mission and goals set forth for this professional organization. We are excited to be a part of the ICEA community and eager to see the opportunities that 2016 brings for ICEA,” said Lytle.

Formed in 1960, the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) is a nonprofit professional organization that supports educators and other health care providers who believe in freedom to make decisions based on knowledge of alternatives in family-centered maternity and newborn care.
