Liquid Nightclub Hosts Speakeasy Night Paired With Burlesque Performances Every Half Hour

TAMPA, Fla. - Dec. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- Liquid Nightclub in Ybor City will be changing its Wednesday night format into a speakeasy lounge environment starting Wednesday January 20^th 2016 and will be partnering with Mayven Missbehavin to add a high-class burlesque and cabaret element to the night. Performers will be on stage every half hour from 9:30pm until 1:00am. Each night will have a specialty cocktail which will be available if passwords, previously distributed via social media and the Liquid website, are given. Post-theme (1am to 3am) DJ Ace Vedo will be pumping high energy Top 40 mixes and Liquid will finish the night in traditional nightclub fashion. This weekly event is an effort to utilize local trained and experienced performers while drawing a high-end crowd to Ybor mid-week.

Liquid was recently acquired by Richard Barba at the end of August and this night is being forged to partner with the local talent in the area to bring life back into Ybor during the week. Barba stated in an interview:

“We pack the club during our Latin night on Fridays and our theme nights on Saturdays. My thought is to bring a high-end crowd to Ybor who is hungry for fun and entertainment. Mayven has the connections and we have the venue, so partnering with her to re-create the classic speakeasy entertainment venue will be a great way to give people a new taste of what Ybor and Liquid have to offer.”

In addition to themes and entertainers, Barba also mentioned changing the décor of Liquid:

“Yes, we will be altering the vibe through colors and new furniture. Currently we are painting the inside of the club in a shade of blue called ‘Perfect Sky’. Liquid has a lot of dark tones which can make it look very closed off, our intention is to brighten the place up. We will also be ordering new high-top tables and gradually will make the transition from the dark nightclub esthetic into a versatile entertainment venue that feeds the culture of Ybor.”

During the week, you can sample a variety of new events at Liquid including Karaoke from 8pm to 3am every Monday, 10 to 14 male go-go dancers invading the club on their ‘XXX Tuesday’, dance to Latin music all night long on a packed dance floor with ‘Candela Fridays’, and ‘Sticky Sweet Sundays’ featuring burlesque performances at 11:30pm. Liquid also includes drag shows peppered throughout the week and will occasionally bring in big name stars from the drag community including Katya and Violet Chachki from Season 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Talent contests such as Queen of the Night and The Cut are held once a month to search for up and coming talent in the area to showcase at Liquid.
