Frizzell Family Welcomes New Baby Boy - Ryman Shafer Frizzell

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Dec. 29, 2015 - PRLog -- Award winning, Nashville based Artist, Corey Frizzell (of the famed Country Music Frizzell family) and his wife Toni, have announced that they have welcomed a new son into the world with the perfect Country Music tribute name.

Frizzell took to his Facebook and announced, “Meet Ryman Shafer Frizzell, 7lbs 8oz and 20” long. Mama and baby are doing great!”

Ryman Shafer Frizzell entered the world in Nashville, TN on Dec 26th 2015 at 9:22pm, carrying the namesake of legendary singer/ songwriter, Sanger D. “Whitey” Shafer, whom was the best friend to the late Lefty Frizzell the last six years of his life and in a poetic twist has become very close to Corey forty years later. Whitey and Lefty penned timeless songs like, “That’s The Way Love Goes,” “I Never Go Around Mirrors” and “Bandy The Rodeo Clown” to name just a few. Baby Frizzell’s first name was chosen as a tribute to Corey’s musical heritage, taking it from Country Music’s “Mother Church,” the Ryman Auditorium, where many of the Frizzell family members have performed.

In Whitey fashion, the eighty one year old songsmith had this to say while holding baby Ryman, “I’m so excited. I’m holding the latest Frizzell. I’ve never had anyone name an offspring after me. Tracy and I love him already!”

Ryman’s mommy, Toni, is an aspiring song writer and full time award winning Real Estate Agent, partnered with Leigh Gillig, of the top selling team, The Gillig Group at Keller Williams based out of Spring Hill, TN. She’s garnered numerous accolades, including being named a “Super Agent” placing her in the top 3% in customer service.

Corey falls in the middle of the six children spanning four decades of Allen Frizzell, former Nashville recording artist and younger brother of the Legendary Lefty Frizzell and Country Star, David Frizzell. Corey is an in high demand, award winning, visual artist that has found a niche in the country music world. He’s come full circle to his music roots being named Nashville’s Artist to the Stars for his artistic collaboration with some of music's biggest names, including Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Emi Sunshine and Jerrod Niemann to name a few.
