Follow on Google News | Call for Papers for the 2016 Global Indigenous Women’s ConferenceIndigenous Conferences Services partnered with the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women Alliance (NATSIWA) in hosting this year’s global conference with great line up of First Nation speakers from Australia and internationally.
By: ICS-MEES PtyLtd t/as Indigenous Conference Service The event will focus on empowerment, strong leadership and self-determination of Aboriginal women globally. Throughout the three day event, we will be facilitating small group discussions with First Nation’s Women Guest Speakers from all around the globe. The event emphasizes the positives of Indigenous resilience and determination to strive for a better tomorrow without the constraints of the negative stereotyping which is more prevalent due to social media and bad media coverage. As part of our commitment to grassroots communities, fifty percent of the conference agenda items are allocated to community programs and services. Hence, we invite Indigenous Women to share their personal journeys, success stories of empowerment, leadership as well as challenges in implementing community programs for Indigenous Women. . To submit a paper, authors are invited to submit their entry online upon reading and checking the below criteria: Papers should not contain offensive language and take into account cultural sensitivities of host Aboriginal country. Papers may treat the themes in a manner that contributes to further discussion of conference aims. Conference papers must be presented in the finish format not less than 60 days prior to the event. First round of papers closing date will be on the 29th February, 2015. Papers that are not chosen in the first round may be resubmitted in the second round. Papers should be submitted in Microsoft Word format. Authors of papers presented at the conference will be formally notified of their acceptance. Registration fee of $650 will apply to all persons submitting papers payable upon acceptance of papers. Papers should explore ways in which the themes show up in the philosophy of the conference.
