PRLog -- DLJ RECP has acquired 3.44 – acre development site in the Boynton Yards area of Somerville, MA located at 111-153 South Street, immediately south of Somerville’s Union Square and its new MBTA Green Line Extension Station currently under construction. The site is located on one of the last large concentrations of underdeveloped commercial land in Union Square. Improved with two small office buildings and surface parking, the site can currently support 675,000 SF of mixed-use development while ongoing city rezoning is expected to significantly increase this density. The new zoning may allow up to one million square feet of mixed use development with 400 residential units and 500,000 square feet of office/retail space currently being planned.
