Actress Angie Harmon Hosts An Evening with The Woman Code & Author Sophia A. Nelson

LOS ANGELES - Jan. 14, 2016 - PRLog -- [Los Angeles] Actor Angie Harmon (Law & Order, Rizzoli & Isles) and the Los Angeles/Pasadena chapter of A Company of Women announced today a powerful and life transforming event for women in the greater Los Angeles area.

The event will take place on January 29, 2016 at the City Club of Los Angeles. This is a ticked event.

The evening will feature a powerful new voice for women, award winning, best-selling author and journalist Sophia A. Nelson, Esq.  Nelson helps women to better live, love, and lead by a timeless yet time relevant Code. She calls it: The Woman Code. Based on her 2014 global best-selling blockbuster book by the same name.

“The Woman Code is a life-changing book and the members of ACW PASADENA were so moved by it during our respective book club readings that we wanted to bring Sophia to Los Angeles to speak to us and ignite a broader audience of women,” says Carla Farmer, Chapter President.

A Company of Women (ACW) is a non-profit nation-wide network that helps women from all walks of life grow into their complete and unique selves by focusing on their spiritual, mental, emotional and physical development, through mentorships and safe places.

At The Woman Code event, Nelson will bring the keynote address, and there will be two panels of powerful women from industry, Hollywood, and media who will share and discuss the 20 life changing keys within the book. Harmon will moderate one of the panels. The Woman Code has become a modern-day manual for women all over the globe from Africa to Canada to unlock their personal & professional power. ACW will also honor a surprise VIP guest at the event, to be announced.

The Woman Code event - to be held at the City Club in L.A.- will be hosted by Angie Harmon, one of the stars of TNT’s hit show Rizzoli and Isles, a UNICEF Ambassador and an unabashed enthusiast of The Woman Code who, after reading the book wanted to become involved so that other women could have access to the codes.

All proceeds from The Woman Code Event in Los Angeles will UNICEF in support of Ms. Harmon and local LA charities supporting abused and homeless women and children.
