RSM Adds to National Tax Team's Strength

WASHINGTON - Jan. 14, 2016 - PRLog -- RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – recently announced the addition of Stefan Gottschalk to the firm’s Washington National Tax team as a senior director.

In his new role, Gottschalk will provide tax consulting services to businesses and business owners, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions, corporate tax, and financial instrument tax issues. He will help clients acquiring or selling businesses or securities, financing or restructuring businesses, or entering into derivative financial instrument transactions.

Gottschalk has more than 16 years of experience at middle market-focused accounting firms, big four firms, and the IRS. He is a registered Certified Public Accountant in Illinois and an attorney in New York. He has authored and co-authored numerous articles on business taxation topics and co-authored American Bar Association comment letters on taxation of stock and derivative financial instrument transactions. He holds an LL.M. in taxation from New York University, a J.D. from New York Law School, a B.A. from State University of New York, University at Buffalo and attended the University of Southern California’s Intensive Accounting Program. He is based out of the firm’s Washington, DC office.
