Follow on Google News | Hodges University Center for Lifelong Learning Class - Jan. 25The “Learn About the Blue Zones Project – SWFL: Raising Well-Being, Decreasing Healthcare Costs and Improving Productivity in Our Community” class will take place from 1-2:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 25. Deb Millsap, executive director of the Southwest Florida Blue Zones Project and registered licensed dietician, will speak about the Blue Zones Project – SWFL, a community-wide, well-being improvement initiative designed to help make the healthy choice an easy choice. The program will explain how various sectors of the community - schools, restaurants, grocery stores, work sites, faith-based organizations, homeowner associations, individuals and community leaders - are all working together to promote well-being within the community. The Well-Being Index, a tool used to measure the effectiveness of the project, will be explained. Attendees will learn how well-being affects health care costs and productivity. The class will be held in the Stock Building on the Naples campus – 2655 Northbrooke Drive, Naples, FL 34119.
