Old House New House Home Show Sparks Ideas for Homeowners Valentine's Day Weekend

ST. CHARLES, Ill. - Jan. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- Update, remodel and revitalize home surroundings with The Old House New House Home Show, February 12 – 13 – 14 at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main Street in St. Charles.  Since 1984, this event has been celebrating the spirit of home improvement, renovation and transformation.  The Mega Center and Ballroom will be brimming with displays featuring new styles, surfaces and building materials from leading brands and talented designers.  Take concept to construction with 300 award-winning contractors, creative craftsmen and select experts.  Explore fresh ideas for kitchens, baths, basements, additions, architecture, landscaping, green renovations, renewable energy, automation, roofing, waterproofing, insulation, storage solutions, window treatments, painting, tile, heating and air, windows, doors, flooring and more.  Show hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm.  Adult admission is $7.  Seniors (over 62) admission is $4.  Children under 18 attend free; parking is free. A portion of the ticket proceeds benefits The Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley and the ReStore Elgin.

New This Year, “Decorating Trends” will be presented daily at 11 am by the award-winning Deb Goetz of Deb Goetz Interiors, based in St. Charles.  Explore colors and styles with this savvy, delightful designer and give your home a fresh new look.

Landscaping for Curb Appeal by Stephen Carlin of Great Impressions Landscaping will be presented daily at noon.  Discover design basics and innovative approaches for creating appealing and inviting outdoor environments for your home.

Beautiful Bathrooms by James (Jim) Campbell CKD of Lamantia Design and Construction will be offered at 1 pm each day.   Explore new trends in surfaces and learn strategies for space planning to create a lovely, comfortable and updated bathroom.

Design Your Dream Kitchen will be presented each day at 2 pm by John Habermeier of Synergy Builders, based in West Chicago.  Delve into design basics, flow, functionality, space planning, storage and new trends in materials to create the kitchen of your dreams.
