Monifah is ready for some Gurl Talk!!

NEW YORK - Jan. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- GURL TALK, an indie short film starring R&B Recording Artist/Actress Monifah Carter will stage its world premiere at the 24th Annual Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA on Monday, February 8^th at 7:55pm and with two additional viewing dates, February 9^th at 6:05pm and February 15th at 12:20pm - during the twelve-day multicultural cinema film showcase (February 4^th -15^th).

Playing at the RAVE CINEMAS BALDWIN HILLS 15 at 4020 Marlton Ave Los Angeles, CA 90008.

The indie short is written, directed and produced by Actress Sharon Brathwaite ("Think Like a Man\"Criminal Minds,\") GURL TALK chronicles the story of How do you have a whole conversation without saying a word? BFFs Tina (Brathwaite) and Roxanne (Monifah) make a friendly bet with their husbands at the most inappropriate place... a wake. Always called gossips, they take on the challenge to get through the wake without saying a word.

Monifah could not be happier where her career is heading for 2016, after last year having two great singles “The Other Side” & her mega hit smash “One Moment” garnishing amazing reviews. She was also honored with the 2015 Vanguard Award, from The OutMusic Awards, and The 2015 GLAAD Media Awards for Outstanding Reality Program. For her breaking wedding episode on TV One's R&B Diva - Atlanta franchise. Which made history being the first African-American celebrity same-sex union wedding special that aired on national television.
