The coins says it all “Don’t Mess with the US”, simple and straight to the point that many nations over the course of history have had to learn the hard way!

This solid metal 2 inch coin features the likeness of American pop culture Sailor hero Popeye. This particular coin has our American Hero in US Coast Guard regalia with antique gold and silver coloring, the trademark corncob pipe in his mouth flexing his biceps, and clenching his fists in demonstration of the power of the United States Navy and Coast Guard combined to defeat the powers of evil. On this Sailor’s left bicep we find the blood red, rich deep blue and puristic white coloring on the American Flag waving in the breeze as a warning to all enemies both foreign and domestic “These Colors Don’t Run”! The reverse side of the coin features a beautiful deep rich sea green bed of spinach as the outline circling the antique silver lid of an Iron Enriched sinach can. The year 1929 is representative of Popeye’s “birthday” when this loveable Sailor first appeared in the Comic Strip Thimble Theater on Jan 17, 1929.
