Patients can now be treated by their Physical Therapist for an entire month before a doctor prescription or referral is required, often being able to fix the problem at hand. This also means if patients don’t have a doctor or are out of their home area, they can still get access to the best physical therapy possible for a month before requiring a referral or prescription. For chronic conditions the course of therapy can be repeated again after a 60 day window, again with no Doctor referral.
