The New 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Price, Features, and Arrival Date to be Released to the Public

FISHERS, Ind. - Feb. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- The newly redesigned 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is scheduled to arrive at Noblesville and Carmel dealerships soon and will bring with it a number of stylistic and technical upgrades that have caught the attention of Indiana drivers. Available as a 2WD or with an optional full-time 4WD drivetrain, the compact crossover promises to be one of the few off-road capable options offered at under $20,000.

The new Outlander Sport will feature a redesigned front grille with “disappearing” bumper. This new exterior makes use of the Outander’s “Dynamic Shield” design language to give the Sport a more aggressive feel. Mitsubishi is also including the option for drivers to add folding power side mirrors with LED turn signal indicators, optional 18-inch alloy wheels, new wheel lip molds, and three new colors that include Brown, White Pearl, and Silver.

Inside, the Outlander sport will add a new steering wheel, a softer gray interior option, new fabric options, and access to the 6.1-inch touchscreen Display Audio infotainment system. Standard features like the FUSE Hands-free Link System with Bluetooth connectivity, steering wheel mounted audio controls, and full-color multi-information display will continue to be available.

The Outlander Sport will continue to include the 148-hp 2.0L inline 4-cylinder engine as its base powerplant, with the 168-hp 2.4L MIVEC inline 4-cylinder engine available on select models. Drivers will still be able to equip the Sport with a 5-speed manual transmission on the base ES trim, and can also opt for the Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission.

The 2016 Outlander Sport will have a base price of $19,595 with total costs varying by trim level and options packages chosen.
