Abra Seay Names Campaign Manager for her Flagler County Supervisor of Elections Campaign

PALM COAST, Fla. - Feb. 3, 2016 - PRLog -- Abra Seay is pleased to announce that she has selected campaign manager Jennifer Seay Bennett for her campaign for Flagler County Supervisor of Elections.

Jennifer was born and raised in Flagler County, and is a resident of Bunnell. She is currently the Permit Manager for the City of Daytona Beach, Permitting & Licensing Department. She has worked on the successful campaigns for her late father, John Seay, for Flagler County Commissioner in 1996, and then Flagler County Property Appraiser in 2000, which he served in for 24 years.

“I’m excited to be able to assist Abra in her campaign,” said Jennifer; “I always felt it was a privilege helping my dad with his campaigns, so I’m happy to help Abra now,” she added.

Abra Seay is running for Flagler County Supervisor of Elections. Encouraged by retired Supervisor of Elections Peggy Rae Border to run for the position, Abra filed in December. Abra grew up in the rural, southern end of Flagler County, and as a young mother and wife, she graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida and became a teacher at Bunnell Elementary.  She was honored as Bunnell Elementary’s 2013 Teacher of the Year.

Abra and her husband have five children. In addition to being a teacher for 13 years, she owned and operated a licensed childcare facility. She earned her Master’s degree in Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 2009.  She completed her degree in one year, graduating with honors, while teaching, running a business, and being a wife and mother. Three years ago she was selected to be the Coordinator of Flagler Schools Early Childhood Education Department. Under her leadership, Flagler Schools has implemented Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten district wide in all five elementary schools.  She manages a $1.2 million dollar budget, and supervises 36 staff members.  Abra currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Early Learning Coalition of Flagler and Volusia.
