Kidpreneur Accelerates With New Name

TROY, Mich. - Feb. 8, 2016 - PRLog -- By 2020, an estimated one million computer programming jobs in the U.S. will go unfilled, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. One company is doing something about it and they are starting them very young. The business is Kidpreneur, LLC and their mission is to create future creators. The goal is to teach kids K-8 about entrepreneurship and the latest technology. You'll get the traditional classes like LEGO robotics EV3 programming, Minecraft server building and website HTML development. However, they go beyond with Python programming language for game design, Java programming for Minecraft modding, LEGO robotics programming and app development, 3D model design and printing, and a lot more.

Since Kidpreneur's initiation in late 2013, they've grown in size from sharing an office to opening their own facilities in Wixom in 2014 and a second in Madison Heights in 2015. The founder, Thanh Tran, is a serial entrepreneur and has two children, understands that kids might not like sports or music. Most kids now like some type of digital games either on the computer, tablet and/or smartphones. Mr. Tran said "if we can harness that love for gaming early, we can have more kids into STEAM (Science. Technology. Engineering. Arts. Math.) related fields."

They have served nearly 4500 kids through their technology education (TechEd) programs including year round weekly classes, 5-day camps during school breaks, after school workshops and events across the state. They are looking to expand outside of Michigan and to do that, they will have to evolve into something that might not be favorable. "We'll have to change our Kidpreneur name. The reason for the change is because we need to have a unique name that will allow us to be distinguishable from other kidpreneur-like businesses. In addition, it will show that we've mature as a business and ready to scale to new heights in the upcoming years."

This month, the name will be changed to AccelerateKID, LLC to represent the company's unique accelerated TechEd programs for kids. It will also meet the demands of our shareholders and customers. Young students will learn entrepreneurship as they progress through our TechEd tracks (Coding, Digital Arts, Game Design, Robotics). "The quality curriculums and excellent instructors we have will remain and will also grow", said Mr. Tran. The business believes every child going into grade school should be expose to computer programming. Introducing the technology is very important to properly preparing kids for the future and the company have TechEd programs to accelerate the kids.
