Redmon Installs our Real-time Digital Signage for the Crystal City Potomac Yard Transitway

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Feb. 10, 2016 - PRLog -- ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – February 10, 2016 – Redmon Group, in partnership with W.M. Schlosser and Arlington County, is installing digital transit signage for the Crystal City Potomac Yard Transitway this week. The installation and testing are part of the final steps ahead of the Transitway opening in Crystal City later this spring. The signs, customized by Redmon, provide real-time bus arrival data on LCD and LED displays for area residents and businesses, including Text-to-Speech capability for the seeing-impaired. The real-time data signs being installed in Crystal City Potomac Yard are the same digital solution used for the Alexandria section of the Transitway.

"Redmon is excited to be a part of another key transportation project in the Washington region,” said John Redmon, Redmon Group founder and principal. “We now have over 150 digital signs assisting commuters in the DC area and it feels great to be making a difference in people’s everyday lives."

Redmon provides a variety of digital signage, software, and other interactive media solutions and has partnered with many transit providers across the country. Redmon real-time digital signage is being utilized locally by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), Arlington County, the City of Alexandria, and many others.
