HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Feb. 12, 2016 - PRLog -- Trax Records is creating buzz during Grammy week with the announcement of a new house project release, “U-Do,” that is the talk of industry insiders and house/EDM fans. “U-Do” represents a set of track releases designed as a call to action for other remixers and DJ’s to create their own mixes and compete in a special House contest to be announced. The official date of the release of “U-Do” will be announced the night of the 58th Annual Grammy Awards to world media outlets.

Trax Records is rated as the number one American label that changed Dance Music "Trax Records belongs in a class with Sun, Chess, Studio One, Motown, Philadelphia International, Def Jam and a handful of other labels where musical movements were born.”—Beatport. “It's been a very blessed time for me and Trax Records. Words cannot express how much I appreciate the support from our industry peers like David Guetta, Bassment Jaxx, and being the #1 American Dance label in the company of Def Jam and Chess Records. That's always been my dream. Then to collaborate with a true House idol, Todd Terry, also known in the production DJ world as Todd the God, on the first release from U-Do 'Good Spirits Rising.’ Life at Trax is just amazing! There is no way for me to express my thanks! I just hope the music does it!” Rachael Cain, President, Trax Records.

"I think one of the most beautiful things about producing this project is simply the power of collaboration. I see how open the world is, and has become, I feel like I need to give back and allow the ability for people to drink up from a public fountain of creativity. So therefore, we have U-DO -- an open source, a new way of thinking about musical releases, and an invitation for all to create. Tearing the walls down, a step at a time." Jorge, Trax Records.

This year Trax Records celebrates two of their Grammy Award winning Remixers of the year Frankie Knuckles, who's passing greatly saddened the music world, and Maurice Joshua. "We hope the U-Do contest winner can follow in their groundbreaking footsteps" says Rachael Cain, President of Trax, who is a long standing voting Naras Member. The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards will broadcast live on CBS, Monday, Feb.15, 8pm-11:30pm (ET/PT) from the Los Angeles Staple Center.
