Theatre director and actor for the N.Y. Shakespeare Festival, Yale Rep, London's Royal Court Theatre and Dublin's Abbey Theatre. Director of the upcoming comedy web series THE GOURMET OPERA DIVA and the upcoming feature film THE PORTRAIT. Since 1978 Roger has been Artistic Director and acting coach at his SIMON STUDIO in NYC where he first met and taught a young actor named Jamie Dolan. When that young actor later became a producer of FORGETTING SANDY GLASS he remembered Roger and cast him. "That made this film extra special for me," Roger says. "Life is fun and funny that way!" Experience working on the film: Great experience working w/producers David, John, & Jamie, who put together a crackerjack bunch of young actors and crew. Maybe I was the senior member of the team in age, but not in spirit! We were all young and hungry to do this exciting film. Tell us about your character: Stewart is a real misfit, the lonely old man , outsider who lives vicariously off watching other people's (mostly young people) lives. I tried to find the balance of his humor, perversity and pathetic nature in playing him. And I just loved that David, John and Jamie encouraged me to improvise and let myself explore the wild, bad boy side of me! End
