Follow on Google News | DEI Announces New ONYX Series™ Product LineONYX Series Black Pipe Shield – This new textile technology, combined with DEI’s unique stainless steel standoff brackets, creates an air gap providing maximum cooling and heat dissipation. Designed to be flexible, the ONYX Shield (size 4” x 8”) fits many different applications and pipe diameters. In addition to use as a protective barrier on exhaust pipes, auto or motorcycle, the shield is recommended as a heat barrier between transmissions, brake lines, hoses, electrical wiring, gas tanks, body panels, bumpers and more. Two 3-1/2” stainless steel clamps are included and the outer edge features a surge stitch for added strength and durability. Part #010496. ONYX Series Starter Shield –This revolutionary new shield protects starters at risk of heat soak because of excessive direct or radiant heat. The ONYX Series starter measures 7” width by 24” length and the length can be trimmed to size. The hook and loop fastening design makes it easy to install without the trouble of removing the starter. Multi- ONYX Series Black Turbo Shield – DEI’s ONYX Series Turbo Shield maintains consistent temperature in the turbo to maximize efficiency and reduce lag. It is now available for smaller sized turbos including Garrett®, Mitsubishi® and others. The ONYX Series Shield is available for the T22 (part #010161) or the T25 (part #010163), or as a kit: T22 Kit (part #010162) or T25 (part #010164). The kit includes the black turbo shield made of premium heat resistant textiles and newly designed stainless steel attachment anchors, a 2” x 15’ premium roll of DEI black pipe wrap, two 20” stainless steel Locking Ties, and 5’ of stainless steel fastening wire.
